Welcome
Blowing of the pu. (conch)
O ke aloha ke kuleana o kahi malahini. “Love is the host in this land.”
He pilikani kakaou apau ma Hawaii nei. “Here in Hawaii we are all family.”
Aloha komo mai. “Welcome with love.”

Convocation
We come together today because love gathers us.  And especially because love has found the two of you, ______ and ______; and woven you
together side by side in the wonderful tapestry of life.  We gather to remember and to rejoice that it is love-always love-Divine Love, that leads us
to our true destination and to celebrate that you have arrived at this sacred place in one another’s hearts.  Indeed we are here to celebrate your
union, to honor the beginning of your new life.

Invocation
In this holy and joyful moment we call upon the Highest in you ______ and ______, the Divine Inner Presence that always knows exactly what you
need, that gives and asks the best of you; that brought you to love and has chosen for you this sacred commitment you are about to make.  For you
we ask every blessing of this moment: a confirmation of the wisdom of your choice; great happiness on the path that is set before you; protection
and guidance as you walk upon it; strength to live out your purpose; grace and peace through each step of your journey; and beloved friends to
support you.  May you be filled with joy; may you keep your promises with ease; may love abide with you always.   Amen.

A Reading
I love you!  Not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you.  I love you!  Not only for what you have made of your self, but for what
you are making of me.  I love you, for the part of me that you bring out.  I love you, for putting your hand into my heaped-up heart and passing over
all the foolish, weak things that you can’t help dimly seeing there; and for drawing out into the light, all the beautiful belongings that no one else
had looked quite far enough to find.  I love you because you are helping me to make of the lumber of my life, not a tavern but a temple; out of the
works of my every day, not a reproach but a song!

The Address
______ and ______, one thing must be considered sacred.  That is and shall be, an agreement between two people.  This day we joyfully celebrate
a sacred agreement between the two of you; an agreement to be steadfast in your intention to love one another through all things.

As you live your marriage, you will find that your relationship has moods and seasons, wonderful times as well as challenges.  From time to time
the delightful spirit of this wedding day may not be with you, and you will have the opportunity to make the decision to reach for something deeper
within yourselves.  Reaching for the love that is stronger - the love that is truer.  I ask you to remember that any difficulties you may encounter are
but an invitation to explore the more profound reaches of compassion, of tender caring, of selfless nurturing.  This is the maturing of love through
time; love’s highest calling - it’s finest work, and it’s own reward.

Remember too, that a relationship is a progression.  A wondrous journey that will take you to unexpected places within yourselves.  Separately and
together you are becoming more than you were.  So be excited, open-minded, curious, available, and inquiring about whom you are coming to be.
Trust that your experiences will turn you into the highest form of yourselves; that you will become the best and the most, and that you will do
things that only you two together could possibly do!

You are promising to love for the long and unknown future.  If you can hold to this intention, you will ride out any storms with confidence and
faith.  Above all, choose love.  For it is love that will prevail.  It is the love you hold for one another that will be the answer to any difficulties.

Choose love.  Return to love.  For that is who you are.  In love you shall forgive.  In love you shall be healed.  In love you shall join as partners, as
one another’s teachers; in love you will find and be the beloved help-mate.  In love, together, you will know the Divine.

The Consecration
Now in and through the power of the Divine, may every desire you have for your love be fulfilled; may you be given the vision to behold one another
with the eyes of love, and the endless generosity of spirit with which to nurture one another’s soul and sweetly keep the promises you make here
today.   Amen.

The Expression on Intent
Now that you have heard the high calling of this holy union, do you ______ choose ______ to be your honored and cherished mate, to live with
him/her and love him/her in blessed union?

And ______, likewise having heard the high calling of this holy union, do you choose______ to be your honored and cherished mate, to live with
him/her and love him/her in blessed union?

Lei Blessing
A lei is given in a spirit of thankfulness.  Each blossom is picked from the Earth, then strung one by one so each will shine at its most brilliant.  It is
a symbol of beauty, made with care and given with love.  A lei is a circle of beauty, without beginning, without end.  A lei encircles the head and
touches the heart.  A lei delights the senses and inspires wonder.  A lei is as fragile as today, as enduring as memory.  A lei is a Divine expression
of the universe, fashioned by human hands.

In ancient Hawaii, when two people exchanged lei, they came together, touched noses and foreheads and took a deep breath.  This was called
honi.  And the reason they did this was to share the breath of God, Aloha. Aloha literally means the breath of God:  Alo, meaning the Spirit
radiating through the universe, and Ha, being the breath.  Aloha, breath of God.  Now, as you present these lei to each other, first place the lei
over the head, then come in a touch noses and foreheads and take a deep breath.  And know that right here right now you are in the Divine
presence.

The Vows
I will now ask you to say publicly your declaration of love and commitment to one another.

Please face one another and ______ repeat after me.
______, my love, please receive this lei, as a symbol of my promise to you:

That I will love you freely,
as the sky loves the bird,
as the sunset loves the early evening.
That I will love you grandly,
with my tender fine emotions,
with my loving words and all my actions.
That I will love you purely,
with my honor, with my knowing,
with all the best intentions of my being.
That I will love you joyfully,
with my body, with my laughter,
with my foolishness and playing.
That I will love you truly,
with my finest kindness and my deepest care.
That I will love you always;
now, from this day forward,
seamless, endless, and forever.  (Repeat)

May the attributes of these lei forever inspire your lives.  They are offered in the spirit of Aloha.

Blessing of the Rings
And so we come ______ and ______, to the presentation of rings by which you symbolize and bind your love:

May these rings be your most treasured adornment.  May they serve as a symbol of the sacred promise you make today, and remind you day after
day that you are loved and have been chosen.

Exchanging of the Rings
______, please place the ring on ______’s finger, then - while holding hands, please repeat after me:

Please receive this ring…I give it to you as a symbol… of my steadfastness and joy in loving you…and as a pledge to honor you…with all that I am,
and all I shall become…for my whole life.

______, please place the ring on ______’s finger, then - while holding hands, please repeat after me:

Please receive this ring…I give it to you as a symbol… of my steadfastness and joy in loving you…and as a pledge to honor you…with all that I am,
and all I shall become…for my whole life.

The Pronouncement of Holy Union
And now ______ and ______, because you have chosen one another, honored each other with the precious gift of your rings, and pledged to love
each other for all the days of your lives, it is my honor and delight to pronounce you forever joined in Holy Union.

The Blessing after Union
May you live out your days in joy; may you live in one another’s company in peace, and may your days be filled with the rewards of a deep and
abiding love.  May the Divine Presence guide and protect you on your way.  Go forth with jubilation in your hearts and gladness in your feet.  May
you live happily ever after!   Amen.

You may seal your covenant with a kiss!
